Zabu Impari Nero d’Avola
This red wine from Sicily has a deep ruby red color. The bouquet is spicy, with notes of licorice, black pepper, tobacco and blackberry jam. On the palate, this Nero d’Avola – the typical Sicilian grape variety – is full-bodied, intense and beautifully balanced. The finale is again wonderfully spicy and slightly sweet. 18 months the Vigneti Zabu Impari Nero d’Avola matured in American and French oak barrels, then again at least 18 months on the bottle. Locals refer to the grape-variety Nero d’Avola as “Principe Siciliano” (Sicilian Prince). Enjoy the Vigneti Zabu impari Nero d’Avola with meat dishes, grilled cheese or hard cheese.
