Grapes for Babich Winemakers’ Reserve Pinot Noir were harvested from the estate-owned Cowslip Valley vineyard in Waihopai Valley. The wine was handcrafted using traditional winemaking techniques, resulting in a beautiful ruby colour. The bouquet exudes sweet aromas of cedar and strawberry. The palate is smooth and rich with flavours of cocoa, spice and morello cherries. Velvety tannins run through the palate and join with vanilla nuances to lead to a sweet and dense finish. This award-winning wine pairs extremely well with oily fish, char-grilled Scotch fillet steak, or lamb topped with grilled flat mushrooms.
